The Role: Build Engineer / Manager(FTTP)
Location: Bristol / Devon / Gloucestershire
Package: £45k & Vehicle (L200 style pick up truck) or Car allowance
We are looking to recruit a telecoms build engineer for a client side FTTP new build in the South West. You’ll be in from the beginning and this is a great chance to set expectation and then drive the build forward for a well funded, infrastructure provider who will build their own network, alongside using some PIA.
Reporting to the regional delivery manager, you’ll manage the contract partners and drive operational performance on a new FTTP build programme for full fibre networks on both residential and business. The work / opportunity is both secure, long term and offer plenty of variety. We’d also suggest this offers the chance for an experienced civils supervisor to make the step into build management as this is very much a hands on delivery role but with leadership responsibility.
This is FTTP and as such, you’ll likely be a known figure in the build industry and come with the ability to act decisively, hit the ground running and own all aspect of civils build and delivery within a client and contractor, NRSWA environment. You’ll also need knowledge as to how things work with PIA.
This is essential, so a proven track record in telecoms civils / fibre build is a must and this role is a permanent position working for the client / service provider.
You’ll direct and manage all aspects of performance, and be a strong KPI driven manager who can use the data to assess what is working and what is not, performance wise.
Work for home and in the field, so you’ll need to be on the patch through the working week which means commuting range to the general Devon, Somerset and Gloucestershire regions. Ideal location would be somewhere close to Bristol.
Role comes with choice of company truck (Like an L200) or car allowance at £350 per month.
