Project Managers (FTTP)
Location – Liverpool with occasional time in programme areas – Scotland
Package around £60-65,000 plus car allowance, health.

These are new roles that will be working on the delivery of full fibre networks for a well funded company that are client side, and building FTTP solutions. The programme area is Scotland so the thinking is to base the PM from the Liverpool HQ and then the project manager will occasionally travel to patch.

This is a commercially savvy project manager role, with prior knowledge of NEC3 contracts and FTTP design principles alongside the ability to manage 3rd party contract partners, so more a classic project manager role, rather than delivery managers.

Fibre background is going to be ideal but we also can consider solid telecoms network construction around NEC contract and NRSWA environment.

This is a great chance to be in the business from the early days. and play your part in what the model looks like in an expanding build region, so you wouldn’t be picking up the pieces from someone else half way through the projects and it isn’t a firefighting role, simply a new position to play a part in scalability and a solid foundation that allows growth.

A good chunk of the network is going to be using PIA, so you’ll need to be savvy with the principles and also, dealing with Openreach.

Your background?

The reality is you need to be from that telecoms network build environment and while FTTP would be ideal, we have success in the right people moving across to fibre build from mobile network roll out, so happy to talk with people from that sector. You don’t need to be a technical expert but would certainly have a high level understanding of network construction and the associated areas, so planning, design, build, installations and operations.

You’ll also need to be strong when it comes to NEC contracts and have a good understanding of Design, Civils and Fibre specifications and industry standards including NRSWA, HAUC, OFCOM etc.
