Contract role for 3 months

This is a new contract role working for a full fibre network owner and ISP. They have a number of interesting diversification projects in the pipeline and due to that, we’re looking to bring in a contract based, network support engineer to work alongside one of their outsourced NOC partners.

We’re looking to bring in a network support engineer with solid Nokia and Adtran kit exposure and you’ll mainly be involved on network configuration, fault diagnostics and fix.

Working from home, you’ll join the technology team that focuses on the core and IP network.

On the IP engineering side of the role, you’ll be looking at configuration issues and working with 3rd party vendors, as the NOC is an outsourced model and contributing towards projects to ensure the maximum capacity is obtained from the fibre network.

This is optical network firstly though, with some IP knowledge rather than the other way around so optical network / DWDM needs to be your forte alongside FTTP PON knowledge and then ethernet, MPLS and IPv4 / IPv6.

Knowledge / use of typical CRM systems such as Remedy or Salesforce would be expected and you’ll be involved from the CPE through to core network, alongside the outsourced partners.
