Fibre Telecoms Recruitment

Investment into the sector as it an all-time high. With the amount of build and deployment taking place, knowing the people with the reputations and track record to deliver is crucial.

This is a key area for TEC and our network of contacts and knowledge in this area is as detailed as any recruitment consultancy operating in the UK.

As individuals, we have been working with the main ISP’s and contract partners on the delivery of internet services since 1999 and have seen the changes from HFC copper and fibre networks through to pure fibre for ultra-fast internet provision.

From BDUK to Lightning, we have extensive knowledge of all the main programmes of work around the UK for FTTX and we’ve placed the people from an end to end perspective – Planners, Project Administration and PMO Wayleaves Officers, NRSWA qualified Civils Supervisors, Build Managers, Delivery & Project Managers and up to Project Director, National Head of Departments and C-level.

If you don’t see exactly the requirement you are after below, please feel free to give us a call and we can discuss if we are going to be best suited to support you, or at least point you in the direction of someone who can.

Frequent Sector Roles

Project & Delivery Management

Our network of contacts is second to none by way of project management professionals and we are involved with most of the main companies on the market. We have had exposure to the majority of the build programmes taking place across the UK at the moment and in years gone by. We can approach the known quantities around the UK – the people with the track record of delivering fibre projects on time and within budget. These will be PM’s who are used to the rapid deployment model and need for scalability on some of the younger projects on the market, alongside slotting into the existing team on the larger build programmes such as Lightning and BDUK.

Build Management

We know the build managers who can get the results on the patch, both on the client and contractor side of the market. It’s the people with the ability to relate to the gangs but drive the performance within a fast moving, fluid environment that can make the difference. Everybody is looking to recruit the good people with the reputation and standing to achieve results and add value to your business but for all sides, we’ll set the scene by way of realistic expectation and make sure that everyone is on the same page from day one as to what the challenge entails.

HOD's & Directors

We’ve been fortunate enough to support some of the key senior level appointments around the fibre build and delivery of connectivity markets in the UK. That means we can point to proven examples as to who we have worked with, and who we have placed around network build. From Head of Department to Director and C-Level, we can understand the unique aspects associated with fibre build and deployment and can discuss either known, senior level quantities or work to think creatively about senior contenders who can perhaps contribute slightly different ideas and help to come at things in a slightly different way.

Operational Leadership

Operational delivery, people and customer management from area, regional, HOD and director level. Getting the best out of engineers on an area, regional or national basis and setting and hitting KPI’s within a fast moving, customer facing delivery environment. Always making sure the ability is there to measure, improve and know what success looks like. Coaching and developing is a key area, and we know some of the best operational leaders in the country and have built our name on the back of recruiting the people that can bring success to some of the most challenging logistical regions in the country across all aspects of installation and service.

Fibre Engineering

Contract or permanent basis, we’ve been involved around the installation, test and commissioning of fibre based network services and have worked closely with most of the main players as networks have evolved from copper, HFC through to FTTP. Installation or splicing along with network engineering, we can support by way of the provision of engineers either on a permanent basis or as a fully kitted out contractor. We can place someone with the full array of splicing and testing equipment on either hourly, day or price based payment and charging systems.

Network Operations

CRG TEC support a range of internet service providers and have in depth knowledge and ability when it comes to provision of network engineers into operational support environments. Our network covers all of the main vendors including Cisco, Juniper, Huawei and Nokia focused engineers at all levels from 1st line through to technical and solutions architecture.
