IT Support Administrator (1st / 2nd Line)

Location: Liverpool Street, London

Package: £30,000 plus private health, enhanced pension, 25 days holiday plus 8 bank holidays

We’re looking to bring in an IT administrator to work for this global technology and software business.

Located in their office at Liverpool Street, you’ll be joining the internal IT team and supporting around 100 users on a global basis. This is a listed technology business who develop and embrace cutting edge technologies so a great chance for a 2 years + Microsoft bias support technician to join the business and work closely with the C-level technical experts across the business.

Due to the amount of board level interaction on the roles, your communication skills – spoken and written are going to be crucial.

This is a role that suits a candidate who comes from an internal support background, rather than an ISP or MSP. It’s a fast moving environment with a lot of change across the business as they continually look to improve and adapt new processes and technologies so thinking on your feet and adapting is going to be a key point.

Key duties:

  • Be responsible for managing our Microsoft Office 365 and SharePoint administration. To include, but not limited to, ongoing maintenance and development.
  • Provide support on Teams and OneDrive administration platforms.
  • Work closely with the Office Manager and HR to ensure all onboarding and offboarding processes for employees is managed correctly (from an IT standpoint), this will include PC desktop and workstation set-up and configuring devices (new laptops / handsets) and retrieving equipment from leavers, ensuring it is reconfigured for reuse.
  • Be responsible for creating additional system accounts.
  • Act as our first line support to our employees, creating scripts, user guides and business rules to facilitate our processes.
  • Manage all upgrades of our hardware (add extra memory, storage, etc).
  • Maintain and update the IT inventory, both hardware and software.
  • Be experienced in troubleshooting OS, network and storage related issues.
  • Be experienced in providing technical support, to include troubleshooting and identifying the root cause, such as our meeting room/conferencing equipment.

Technical background:

  • Experience with Microsoft Active Directory and Office 365 administration, including SharePoint, Teams support and maintenance.
  • Managing Microsoft 365 collaboration and storage services
  • Operating network file services including systems security and patching
  • Microsoft cloud-based device management services and automation such as Intune and Autopilot (or similar service)
  • Experience in diagnosing and repairing IT equipment across various devices (Macs and Windows).
  • Exposure to Salesforce and/or Netsuite administration a big advantage

Normal UK Monday to Friday working week and flexible / hybrid working is in place. You’ll be in the office 2-3 days per week and then can work from home for the rest.
