– Newly created role, managing a technical department

So how does coming in to a worldwide engineering powerhouse in a newly created managerial role sound?

To set the scene, we are a hugely growing engineering company with our turnover likely to grow from £24m to £32m this year and with growth comes huge opportunities.

So this will be managing the technical application engineering part of the business, where you will be given a chance to mould the department as you see fit.

The person:

We are pretty open on this, but essentially someone with a good electrical engineering background who has some good leadership skills.

A key part of this role will be to develop & grow the department and the engineers within there, so a good track record in this will be paramount.

But someone who wants to use this as an opportunity into even more senior roles as the company continues to evolve and grow.

The role:

As alluded to, this is a newly created role so you will be coming in almost moulding the role as you see fit.

We currently have a team of 5 Application Engineers across the UK which will grow and these are the technical geniuses who help run various projects across various sectors.

So the management of the team whilst getting hands on with various projects where needed.

The Company:

We have worked with some of the major electrical players in the world over the years, these are organisation the one that I have the most interest in from candidates historically.

A German electrical manufacturer who are present in every continent apart from Antarctica, but who are organically growing in the UK so as the feeling of a growing SME in the UK which gives it a unique feel.
