Description

Role: Electrician – Test & Inspection

Location: Bristol – all commercial work

Package: £38,000 basic (average take home £55k) with £4k car allowance and £1500 joining bonus on top!

The opportunity:
Are you an electrical professional who wants to work for a UK leading testing and inspection company, offering stability and the opportunity to slightly ‘down tools’ and focus on your career?

Perhaps your current role is becoming a little stagnant with no real training or progression, or your hours are taking you all over the UK and you’re looking to work a little more locally with the chance for future opportunities too?

If this sounds like you, we are looking for an electrical professional who wants to forge a career within testing & inspection. We don’t expect you to have actually done such a role before, but we are looking for somebody who wants to take up this rare opportunity in a real career-focused role, offering huge earning potential in return.

Who are we looking for?
We are open to the person, however we’re essentially looking for qualified electricians who are Level 3 qualified, and holding a 2391 and an 18th edition. An EICR testing background would be lovely too.

We are more focused on you having the right personality, with a desire to train and progress within a company, who have a track record of really looking after their employees.

The role itself:
Once trained, you will be testing & inspecting circuits around commercial sites. The internal team will set your day up for you, making 1 visit a day, carrying out testing and inspection of circuits across commercial properties. Whilst you will mostly stay local, there may be the odd time you’re required to work away. If this is the case, you will be compensated for this (£30 a night).

The further trained you are, the more complex sites you’ll visit, so there is further development available and in turn, the chance to increase your salary.

The package in more detail:
– Basic salary of £37,900k
– The more you do in a day, the more you earn – average over 40 engineers last year was £55k
– Overtime availability – lots of it! – if you want it. Even more earning potential for overtime during the weekends
– Car allowance of £4k (and fuel on top, so your travel is essentially covered)
– If working away, you’ll receive £30 per night
– Autonomy to manage your own diary, so lots of flexibility at your fingertips
– Helpful to know – Top earner last year (in UK team of 40 engineers) earnt £72k in a year

The company:
This is working for a UK leader in Testing & Inspection around the UK, with a focus on domestic & industrial. We have a very strong reputation in our industry, as do our parent group (who are a worldwide Testing, Inspection & Certification company.
