Description

Job Role: Fibre Supervisor

6-12 month contract role (Inside IR35)

Location: Lincoln

Salary: £350 per day all-inclusive through the week and £525 per day at weekend.

The Opportunity…

We are looking for a fibre supervisor to join a global telecoms company as they build full fibre networks across the East of England.

This is a new build FTTP network deployment programme and you would come into the region at an early stage of the build and play a part in building and supervising the solution as they look to pass around 400,000 homes in the next 3-4 years.

The company have a strong reputation and are a global household name when it comes to telecoms technology. They are offering a full turnkey solution into the UK market, and with this being a slightly different venture for them, this is a great time for you to come in and have your influence on things from an early stage of the build.

Responsibilities:

You will be reporting to the regional delivery manager and will be managing the contract partners whilst driving operational performance on an FTTP build programme. You will also be supervising all aspects of cable/splicing, and testing across the full fibre network.

You will be driving the delivery, quality and performance aspect of the build and network expansion programme around the Lincoln area mainly using PIA.

You’ll own and review build packs, method statements, and run a tight ship when it comes to delivery, performance and quality and will be the point of authority when it comes to approving/rejecting works and the associated invoices, and as-built submissions.

Your Background:

This is FTTP and as such, you’ll likely be a known figure in the industry and come with the ability to act decisively, hit the ground running, and own all aspect of fibre supervision and delivery within a client and contractor, NRSWA environment.

You must have done fibre splicing and also understand ribbon splicing. An engineer that has been hands on and then moved into fibre supervision across network build would be suitable.

Ideally, you’ll have a solid knowledge of PIA and fibre supervision knowledge for both over ground and underground on UK based fibre programmes.

This is a long term day rate assignment. You would need to be on patch through the week and at your own expense. The rate is all inclusive but vehicle, petrol and accommodation will be down to you on an inside IR35 basis, so it is best suited to local candidates rather than those looking to stay away.

It’s long term work, 5 days a week with the chance of some overtime.
