Your new permanent Fire Safety Officer role will be working across NHS sites in west London inspecting building safety across GP offices, pharmacies, small hospitals and admin centres to ensure they adhere to current legislation.

This job has clout – you’ll work with but separately from the day-to-day construction, minor works and facilities management teams to keep them in check and will have to power to stop work if it’s not up to scratch. You’ll work closely with the senior estates team to make sure they’re sticking to best practise and do a Poirot by investigating incidents when they do happen.

Bigger picture, you’ll be raising the bar for fire safety standard across the NHS and collaborating with people inside and outside the company to drive forwards what that looks like for the largest estate in the UK, exciting right?

As you’ll be the go-to person across your patch for all things fire safety you will need to have experience in this area. A knowledge of asbestos would be handy too.

You’ll be joining a newly formed team who are making NHS sites safer for staff, patients and visitors alike. This is an important role and your work will have real world, positive consequences – that’s got to make you feel good!
