Infrastructure Engineer

East Surrey. Hybrid working after completion of probation.

£40 – 45k with benefits such as annual bonus, private health, enhanced pension + more.

This role is working directly for a telecoms service provider, and they are in a continued stage of growth. They are well funded are constantly winning new contracts with both the private and public sector.

These are an exciting company with 250+ headcount and offices all over the world. They work across both public and private sectors, supplying connectivity, communication and managed IT solutions to a range of organisations within the maritime, defence and commercial sectors.

You’ll be joining the infrastructure team of 6, all working internally to support the day to day running of this company. You’ll be building, maintaining and supporting both physical and virtual environments within the company’s network. These have multiple offices around the UK, so some remote support will be required too.

There are multiple IT teams in this company and this this role is 90% internal, but as and when the other teams (which may be customer facing) need your advice and expertise to help them out, this will be required.

Your background:

We’re looking for someone who has a strong infrastructure background working on or within 100+ user environments. With this being internal, this will suit someone has spent some years working internally, but we’re open minded in terms of your background. The key with this role is the strong VMware & virtualisation background. You’ll also need to have a good windows OS experience with good AD management.

The office is based in East Surrey, so you’ll have to live in a commutable distance from there.
