Description

IT Support Engineer

Location: Preston

Salary: £30 – 35k plus more benefits

The Opportunity for you…

Are you currently working at 2nd/3rd line at an MSP and slightly bored of the same, mundane routine, servicing the same corporate clients day in day out? Are you bored of the grey UK weather? (I know I am). What if I told you that as a part of this role, you would have to attend work trips to the South of France, Spain (and other warm countries) to audit, install, and commission new tech on superyachts?

This is a very exciting role and will suit an inquisitive engineer who is constantly has their finger on the pulse by way of up-and-coming technologies.

As an IT Support Engineer in this company, you’ll be based in the Preston office, working for an MSP who provide IT + wireless solutions to a wide client base including 100’s of superyachts!

You will be working in a small team to start off, answering tickets (and completing project work from time to time when new clients are on boarded) – however this isn’t just for the here and now. In Time, this role has the opportunity to evolve into a team lead and eventually build out the wider team underneath you too. Due to the variety of clients, we’re after a Microsoft bias engineer who has some good experience with 365, Azure, SCCM and also with a solid networking background.

If you have hands on experience at 2nd/3rd line at another MSP, then this could be the opportunity for you. We’re after someone who has experience working in this environment and can come and hit the ground running. As well as this, it is important that you have the right attitude and are willing to learn whatever you don’t know.

Of course, part and parcel of this role will be visiting these superyachts (usually based in the South of France and Spain), completing audits, installations and upgrades. Not a bad perk of the job…

Driving license is required for this role to visit customer sites.
