Job Role: Streetworks Coordinator

12 month contract role (Inside IR35)

Location: Remote (occasional travel to Cornwall will be required)

Salary: £265 per day

The Opportunity…

We’re looking for a Streetworks Coordinator to come and join a global Telecoms company, that are building telecoms fibre networks in Cornwall.

This is a new build FTTP network deployment programme and you would come into the region at an early stage of the build and play a part in building the solution as they look to pass around 400,000 homes in the next 3-4 years.

The company have a strong reputation and are a global household name when it comes to Telecoms technology. They are offering a full turnkey solution into the UK market.

Responsibilities:

You’ll report into the Project Manager and undertake all works associated with the permitting, wayleaves, right of ways and Asset Sharing (e.g., PIA in UK) for deployment of a fibre network

They key for this role is experince in fibre build across rural areas. Knowledge of: ‘A road’ closures, road sizes, and challenges you may face in rural areas are all essential for this. Experience of closures of roads close to railway bridges + histroic areas will also be advantageous.

You’ll be responsible for the management and administration of permitting. This will involve the monitoring and coordination of Streetworks activities.

You’ll also be working closely with Build Managers and Build partners for the planning and scheduling of work and liaising with the Build Teams to ensure all permits are administered with the correct information so that no FPNs or charges are incurred.

As well as this, you’ll also be responsible for the set-up and coordination of resources, processes and strategies and compilation of the required documents for the complete processing of Planning Permissions, Wayleaves, private permits, Asset sharing (PIA), TTRO’s. Ensure all deliverables meet the required quality criteria.

The ideal candidate would have a few years permitting areas within telco/utility projects.

The role is a day rate contract basis and is inside IR35.

While this is a remote role, occasional travel to Cornwall will be required as and when meetings are held there.
