The Role: Senior Telecoms Surveyor (ECC)

Location: Regional basis for the Midlands with hybrid working – Banbury, Coventry, Leicester or Northampton

Package: £50-60,000 plus vehicle or allowance and extensive benefits.

This is a position working for the main property consultancies in the UK, and being in the telecoms division, you’ll be responsible for guiding and working with clients across commercial real estate when it comes to representing them through negotiations with the mobile telecoms operators (Vodafone, Virgin Media 02, Three etc.) to place, move, maintain telecoms equipment on estates of buildings across the UK.

Detailed knowledge of the electronic communications code (ECC) is going to be key, alongside the landlord and tenant act 1954 so you’ll be working in a consultancy and advisory capacity by way of the implications of ECC when it comes to site negotiation, site access, lease renewals etc.

The role is going to give a lot of scope, and will involve business travel across the Midlands / South UK region but a high level overview will see you taking the lead on negotiations for implementation of kit, moves and changes to existing telecoms kit and this is both buildings and land an will be end to end, from negotiation and advice on new contract through to dispute resolution.

Key background:

This is a senior surveyor role, so you’ll need to have significant knowledge of the ECC and keep your finger on the pulse by way of any changes to legislation and regulation in the area around telecoms equipment based land and property in the UK. Black and white, you’ll need to be from the telecoms industry and that could be either the operator or landlord side of the sector and if you were MRICS qualified (Or on the way to becoming chartered) then that would be ideal but the company are happy to assist you with completion of process if you are already going down the MRICS route.

Full driving license is taken as read, excellent customer facing and negotiation skills with a consultative approach and ability to manage your own diary through the week due to the blend of office, working from home and being on customer site.
